Want to get your hands on all the shearing information and equipment in the world?

Then drop into Naracoorte’s Shearing World, or visit the online store.

Owned and operated by Darren and Deborah Smith, the company offers hand piece maintenance and repairs; expert advice from a shearing trainer; an endless range of shearing equipment, including cutters and combs, wool presses and shearing plants; clothing and accessories; and a self-sufficient ram shearing service, among many other things.

Darren said the shearing trailer was proving extremely popular for its efficiency and flexibility.

“Shearing World provides a service to farmers to shear their cross-bred rams; we can do stud rams, sale rams and flock rams,” he said.

“We do about 110-120 rams a day, on average, and there’s two of us on the trailer working at any one time.

“There’s no shed required, it’s all self sufficient.

“I just drive in and hook onto the race in the yards and away we go.”

The team at Shearing World is also happy to chat about your other shearing needs and consider how they can help get them met.

The service covers the South East of South Australia and the western district of Victoria.

“We service South East SA and a big part of western Victoria ,” Darren said.

The quality and service in the retail side of the business matches that out in the field, with flexible business hours offered daily.

This means shearers can get their hands on equipment early in the mornings when they are on their way to work, or late at night on their way home.

Drop into the business at 58 Smith Street, Naracoorte today to check out their monthly specials.
